And then,
there is us.

There is no ending to this exhibition yet. We still have so much to see, so much to laugh about, and so many memories to make.

A letter, only for you

My Natalija,

Happy eighteenth birthday, my love. I keep thinking about the girl who was brave enough to ask if I saw her as more than a friend. You were worried I might distance myself. And now here we are, with two years of letters and memories to look back on. I am so glad you sent that message. I remember what I wrote back: how kind you had been from the start, how you tried to cheer me up on bad days, and how much I valued you. Those things still matter to me. From those little “Morning” texts to that night at Bluewaters, you have become part of so many things I want to remember. Even our ridiculous jokes deserve their place in here. Today is about you and everything ahead of you. I know you want to be successful, and I know architecture is part of the future you dream of. I have seen how hard you can work for something you care about. I am proud of you, and I want to be there cheering you on as you find your way. In my two-year letter, I imagined us finishing university and living together, looking back at all the effort it took to get there. I still love that picture of us. But I love the version of you standing here today, too. You do not have to achieve anything else to mean the world to me. Happy birthday, Natalija. I love you to the moon and back.

Your Amorcito,
Mikhail ♡
